Gas Pump Fire Endangering a Structure
Yesterday (7/17) Company 59 was returning from an automatic fire alarm in Middletown when it was struck for a gas pump fire that was endangering a structure. Engine 59 responded within a minute with a full crew to the area of budget rental. Engine 59 got on scene and found a gas pump on its side with it on fire. Engine 59 grabbed a CAFs line and made a quick knock on the fire. Engine 88 arrived on scene within a few minutes and checked the interior of the structure. No extension was found inside the structure. The 59 crew secured the gas line and cleaned up. The crews operated for about an hour.
