Accident with Injuries in the 3 Box.
Tonight, Company 59 and Engine 88 were dispatched to the area of 310 Oberlin Road for an accident with injuries. Rescue 59 was out the door within a minute with a crew of six along with Chief 59-1. The police department was on scene, with two vehicles with one smoking, requesting Fire Police to shut down the roadway from Oberlin Rd to Greenfield Drive. Chief 59-1 arrived on location and confirmed the two vehicle accident report with airbag deployment. Rescue 59 arrived on location with LT. 59 taking operations, the LT. checked for injuries with all occupants out of the two vehicles, one injury was found and turned over to EMS. The rescue crew secured the batteries on the vehicles and started to control the fluids and waited for the tow. Engine 59 arrived on location and assumed traffic control duties. Engine 88 assisted with traffic control along with fluid control. The cause of the accident was a deer that ran thru the roadway causing the accident; the deer was taken by the Police Department and put down. Once the tow arrived and took the vehicles, Command 59 (Chief 59-1) placed the box in service.
