Rescue 59 takes in 2nd Alarm Structure Fire
Friday morning, Around 6:00 am, A 49 box alarm was struck for a structure fire at Faulkner Honda on Paxton Street. Captain 49-1 went enroute and was advised by county that they had the penndot camera looking at the address with a large column of smoke visible. Captain 49-1 arrived on location advising the same and struck a 2nd alarm for a 75 foot by 300 foot commercial building. Rescue 59 was due and went enroute within a few minutes of being dispatched. Rescue 59 arrived on location and staged and sent manpower to the structure. The first in crews did a great job with containing the fire along with a great knock down. Control was marked in about a half an hour after dispatch. The crew assisted with various tasks for about an hour until a fire alarm coming in the 59 box which command released Rescue 59 to take in the fire alarm.
