(Delayed Post) Two Accidents for the Day Shift

Tuesday (9/6), Company 59 was dispatched to a two vehicle accident at route 230 and the airport connector. Rescue and Engine 59-1 responded along with chief 59-1. Chief 59-1 arrived on location confirming a two vehicle accident with all occupants out walking around, setting up command 59. Both the Rescue and Engine arrived on location and checked for injuries with only a minor injury. The vehicles were secured and the crews awaited the tow company. Once the tow arrived, Command 59 placed the box in service.

About an hour later, a second accident was dispatched at Fiddlers Elbow Road at N. Union Street. Chief 59-1 responded followed by the Rescue and Engine. Chief 59-1 arrived on location with a single vehicle on its side in a ditch with the single occupant out walking around, setting up command 59. Rescue 59 arrived on location with EMS, The crew checked the vehicle for hazards with a large gas leak was found and mitigated by the crews. Once the vehicle was removed by the tow company, Chief 59-1 placed the box in service.
