Oberlin Road House Fire

(02/17) Company 59 and mutual aid units were dispatched to 850 Oberlin Road for a stove fire. Engine 59 was on the street along with Tanker 59 in minutes and once on location had heavy smoke from all sides from a 1.5 story single family house. Chief 59-2 arrived on location setting up 59 command and requesting a full 1st alarm assignment. The crew stretched two handlines to make an aggressive interior attack with heavy involvement in the house. The front of the house along with the delta side was ablaze but the main bulk of the fire was knocked down in about 10 minutes with spot fires being found though out the structure. Truck 88 took the roof via ground ladders and started to vent. Rescue 44 arrived and established the R.I.T (Rapid Intervention Team) operations. All the other companies assisted with various other tasks and it was a great team effort to bring the fire under control in the matter of minutes.

Thanks for all the crews that assisted, it was a great job all around.
