Working Fire in the 59-7 Box

Last night at 18:54:02 hours, Company 59 along with mutual aid units were dispatched to 1364 Spring House Lane for a structure fire. The police department was on scene within moments reporting a working fire in the basement. Engine 59 responded with six personnel moments after dispatch. Engine 59 arrived on location taking the hydrant and laying into the structure. Chief 59-2 arrived on location setting up Command 59. The Engine 59 crew stretched a single handline into the basement and knocked the fire down within moments with LT. 59 taking operations. Truck 456 was the first arriving truck setting up venting and metering inside the structure. Engine 59-1 took the hydrant operations. Rescue 44 arrived as the dedicated R.I.T Company (Rapid Intervention Team). Once the house was cleared of the smoke and no extension was found, command downgraded the assignment to Company 59 and Truck 456. The Fire Marshall was requested and after the investigation, command cleared the box within an hour and half.
