Rural Water Movement Class

The past several weeks, the Lower Swatara Fire Department participated in a Rural Water Movement class that was held at Londonderry Fire Department. The class teaches the participants on how to supply water to a fire scene were hydrants are not available utilizing drafting techniques from dry-hydrants, rivers, ponds, streams and other water areas. The class also shows the class on how to set up fill areas and dump areas utilizing water tenders.
